Abstract: :Sanxan-degrading strains were screened, which formed degrading band on medium plate with sanxan as the only carbon source. On the basis of polyphasic taxonomic study, strain JD05, JD08 and SZJ01 were considered to be Pseudomonas fluorescens, Bacillus megaterium and Aspergillus fumiga. Treated by the mixture fermentation liquid of these three strains with the temperature of 37 ℃ and 72 h, the viscosity of sanxan solution decreased by 79.6%. The molecular weight of polysaccharide was reduced to two components with different molecular weight distributions, with 1.9×104 Da and 3.7×103 Da, respectively. The antioxidant activity of sanxan degradation product increased, with the IC50 of scavenging hydroxyl free radical 3.8 mg/mL and the IC50 of scavenging superoxide anion 2.6 mg/mL, respectively.
