Abstract: The stem sections of apple rootstock G.11 plantlet in vitro were respectively inoculated in MS media with different concentrations of 6-BA or KT, or inoculated in WPM media with different concentrations of 6-BA for proliferation. The stem sections were respectively inoculated in soil supporting media for rooting. The results showed that 6-BA promoted G.11 micro stem sections budding and proliferation obviously, while KT had no effect on this. Compared with MS medium, WPM medium reduced vitrification rate of G.11 plantlet in vitro significantly. In WPM medium containing 0.5 mg/L of 6-BA, micro shoot multiplication coefficient of G.11 was 4.9 and vitrification rate was 0. Rooting rate of the G.11 micro shoot cultured in clay soil or sandy soil supporting media were 75.9% and 76.7%, respectively. Moreover, the plantlet had root hair. These results provide basic data for establishing the micro rapid propagation technique of G.11.
