Abstract: Haemophilus parasuis disease is a kind of porcine infectious disease which mainly infects weaned piglets and nursing pigs. In this paper, the obvious lesion samples were collected from pigs with suspected disease of Haemophilus parasuis, which came from a large-scale pig farm in Tianjin. Then a series of laboratory diagnoses were carried out, such as bacterial isolation and culture, microscopic examination and biochemical tests. Combined with the clinical symptoms and pathological changes characteristics of swine, it is determined the isolated bacteria is Haemophilus parasuis. Drug sensitive test results show that the isolated Haemophilus parasuis strain is highly sensitive to ceftiofur and amikacin.
