Differences of fruit external quality among varieties of blueberry under the forcing cultivation in greenhouse

Abstract: In order to compare the differences of fruit external quality among different blueberry varieties under the forcing cultivation in greenhouse, the external quality(fruit color, fruit hardness, fruit shape index, single fruit weight, peduncle length)of ten blueberry varieties were researched. The results showed that brightness index(89.56), yellow-blue chromaticity(-0.44)were the highest in‘Bluecrop’; red-green chromaticity(0.57)was the highest in‘Northland’and‘O’Neal’; fruit hardness(1 660.25 g/cm2), fruit shape index(1.60)were the highest in‘Darrow’; single fruit weight(3.61 g), peduncle length(1.42 cm)were the highest in‘Berkeley’. In conclusion, the fruit external quality of‘Berkeley’among the different blueberry varieties was the best, followed by,‘Spartan’‘Brigitta’and‘Duke’‘Darrow’‘Bluegold Ⅱ’‘Bluecrop’and‘O’Neal’‘Northland’and‘Bluegold І’.
