Abstract: With three desk chrysanthemum varieties, ‘Shuaiqi’‘Huanshuiheixuanfeng’and‘Gushuiluping’ as materials, the effects of different concentrations of growth regulators(B9 and DPC)on morphological indexes of desk chrysanthemum were studied in order to provide technical reference and practical experience for the selection and dosage of growth regulators in cultivation of desk chrysanthemum in Beihai district of Beijing. The results showed that the higher the concentration of growth regulator was, the more the height of chrysanthemum morifolium decreased. The bigger the concentration of B9 was, the smaller the stem diameter was DPC wasthe opposite. The leaf length, leaf width and petiole length of desk chrysanthemum were all reduced under the treatment of two growth regulators, and the greater the application concentration was, the more significant the reduction was B9 and DPC had no significant effect on the number of nodes of plant stem. The length of stem node and inflorescence diameter decreased with the increase of growth regulator concentration. After comprehensive consideration of various morphological indicators, it was concluded that DPC could achieve the same dwarfing effect as B9 in the cultivation of desk chrysanthemum, and the quality of the produced desk chrysanthemum was higher. The optimum application concentration for‘Shuaiqi’was II2(DPC 3 000 mg/L), and that for‘Huanshuiheixuanfeng’and‘Gushuiluping’wereⅡ3(DPC 4 000 mg/L).
