Abstract: In order to compare the difference and to explore the genetic relationship of raspberry varieties, the difference of infrared spectra and genetic relationship on 5 varieties of raspberry was researched by the way of FTIR differential spectra peak, area deviation of spectrum, correlation analysis and hierarchical clustering. The results showed that the infrared spectra of five varieties were similar in the first grade. But the differential peaks were appeared in near 3 332, 2 932, 1 740, 1 650, 1 437, 1 150 and 711cm-1 on the basis of the subtraction spectra. The absorbance were most different in near 2 920 cm-1, 1 740~1 748 cm-1, 1 036~1 052 cm-1, corresponding to the functional group of farinaceous substance (the methylene C—H), oil (ester carbonyl group C=O), polysaccharide (C—O). The genetic relationship of ‘Nova’ and ‘XF’ was the farthest due to their largest area difference, while the genetic relationship of ‘HB’ and ‘Nova’ was the closest due to their smallest area difference among all varieties. There was the higher correlation between the infrared spectrum curves of any two raspberry varieties based on 0.934~0.993 correlation coefficient. The five raspberry varieties were divided into 4 categories by hierarchical clustering, in which ‘HB’ and ‘NW’ were in the same categories. The result was same as area difference analysis.
