Study on Isolation and Identification of Marmoset Diarrhoea Pathogenic Bacteria Strain and Its Sensitivity Tests to Drug

Abstract

Abstract: Diarrhoea is a kind of marmoset disease which mainly caused diarrhea, weight loss and spirit depressed. In this paper, the stool samples were collected from marmoset in an animal center in Tianjin. Then the samples were used for a series of laboratory diagnosis, such as bacterial isolation and culture, microscopic examination, biochemical tests and PCR detection of 16s rRNA to identified the isolated strains. The results showed that the isolated strains were Escherichia coli and Salmonella. Drug sensitive test was examined, and the results showed that the isolated Escherichia coli strain is highly sensitive to gentamicin, the isolated Salmonella strain is highly sensitive to gentamicin and ampicillin.
