Abstract: In this article, anaerobic co-digestion of dairy manure and straw was conducted to produce biogas. Influence of several operation parameters including inoculum amount, temperature and solid content on biogas production were investigated. The result showed that incubation was necessary during anaerobic co-digestion of dairy manure and straw and appropriate inoculation proportion was about 10% (mass percent). Mesophilic condition (36 ℃) and thermophilic condition (55 ℃) appeared higher biogas production than room temperature, and it was suggested that mesophilic condition was more appropriate. Under three solid contents of 20%, 10% and 5%(mass percent), biogas production amount appeared larger fluctuation when solid content increased. 10% was more suitable for anaerobic digestion to produce biogas with total biogas production amount of 4 710 mL after 30 days and volumetric biogas production rates of 0.313 m3/(m3·d). These results could provide reference to engineering application of anaerobic co-digestion from dairy manure and straw.
