Abstract: The optimum nutrient soil formula was selected through planting various vegetable cultivars on the balcony. Firstly, four morphological indexes of parsley were analyzed and 6 better formulas were selected from 21 formulas with entropy-weight method. Secondly, 3 kinds of formulas suitable for different vegetables were selected through comparing the yield per plant of the cluster pepper, cherry tomato, cucumber, Chinese cabbage, amaranth and cherry radish. Finally, the most optimum nutrient soil formula was determined by comparing the contents of soluble solids, vitamin C and total phenol of Chinese cabbage(milk cabbage cultivar)and cherry tomato. The results show that the formula 11 (Vgarden soilVpeatVvermicompost=3∶6∶1) was of the best performance of growth status and quality, so it is considered as the most optimum nutrient soil formula for vegetable cultivation on the balcony.
