Abstract: In order to investigate the effect of herbage on the contents of Cl-, SO42-, HCO3-, pH and EC in saline soils, Zoysia japonica Steud, Poannua, Sebania bispinosa, Coronilla varia and Medicago sativa were planted in soil with different concentrations of NaCl. By determinating changes of soil anions, such as Cl-、SO42-、HCO3-, different degrees of salinization of the soil planted grass were screened and selected. The results showed that the addition of NaCl not only increased the content of Cl- but also increased the content of HCO3- and SO42-. The three kinds of water-soluble anions were heavy salt treatment> medium salt treatment>light salt treatment, and the forage grass could reduce salt treatment soil water-soluble Cl-, SO42- content; among them, Z. japonica reduce the water-soluble Cl- most significantly, followed by S. bispinosa to reduce water-soluble SO42- . Thus, 5 kinds of pasture could reduce heavy salt treatment of soil water-soluble HCO3- content. The soil pH increased slightly with the increase concentration of NaCl. The EC value increased significantly with the increase of NaCl concentration. The forage also decreased the pH and EC of soil, with Poannua, S. bispinosa the most effective.
