Abstract: Plant cell engineering is extensively used in breeding and variety improvement of crops. Cell culture and crossbreeding were used to breed new germplasm of rice. Near-isogenic line on grain chalkiness was constructed by pollen culture, and had bred the new line “Jindao 294”. The hybrids and mutation of rice were cultured by using embryo rescue and remedy, and the permanent trophosome of hybridization progeny of wild rice and cultivated rice was obtained.
