Abstract: Different proportions (0,2%, 4%, 6%, 8%) of manure of black soldier fly were added to the rice seedling raising soil to study the effects of insect manure on agronomic and physiological characteristics of rice seedlings. The results showed that insect manure can promote the growth of rice seedlings, and that it increased plant height by 22.7%-45.7%, leaf width by 14.3%-36.9%, stem width by 13.8%-21.9%, and increased content of nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium by14.3%-78.0%, chlorophyll content by 26.2%-49.6%, photosynthetic rate by 29.3%-146.3%, soluble sugar content by 9.5%-32.8%, and soluble sugar content by 40.7%-56.0%. The maximum leaf width, leaf N, P, chlorophyll, photosynthetic rate and soluble protein content of 6% treatment were the highest. The chlorophyll and soluble protein content of 8% treatment were significantly lower than that of 6% treatment, and there was no significant difference among other indexes. The results showed that the black soldier fly manure can be used as rice seedling substrate, and 6% is the best.
