Abstract: To study the effects of Lysol, didecyl dimethyl ammonium bromide solution and 84 disinfectant in killing Staphylococcus aureus. Bacteriostatic test and suspension quantitative killing test were conducted in the laboratory, respectively. Larger inhibition zone were observed onagar media which were treated with 84 disinfectant and didecyl dimethyl ammonium bromide solution, and Staphylococcus aureus could be killed by them quickly and effectively in 5~20 min. It is suggested that the sterile efficacy of Lysol is weaker significantly than other two disinfectants on Staphylococcus aureus. Among of these disinfectants, 84 disinfectant is the best choice in killing pathogenic bacteria clinically.
