Abstract: Feline infectious peritonitis(FIP), caused by feline coronavirus(FCoV), is a progressive and highly fatal disease. The cat may suffer from anorexia, depression, loss of weight, fever, and dyspnea. In this paper, two cases of cats were examined clinically, hematologically and imageologically. The results showed that both cases had different degrees of pleural and peritoneal effusion, anemia, increase of total bilirubin, and decreased ratio of albumin to globulin. Combined with the results of detection of cat coronavirus nucleic acid, case 1 was diagnosed as wet feline infectious peritonitis, and case 2 was diagnosed as mixed feline infectious peritonitis. Both of the cats were treated with nucleoside analogue GS-441524 in combination with hepatoprotective drugs for months. The therapeutic results showed that all indicators returned to normal, indicating that the cats had good therapeutic effect. The paper may provide some reference for the diagnosis and treatment of feline infectious peritonitis.
