Abstract: Due to high crystallinity, poor cell affinity and difficult processing, the branched polylactide was successful synthesized by the Ring Opening Polymerization(ROP)of lactide initiated with N,N-Bis-(2-hydroxypropyl)glycine as branched monomer and catalysts in this paper. The nucleophilic addition reaction between oxalaldehyde and diisopropanolamine was performed to prepare BHPG characterized by FT-IR、1H NMR. Then, the ROP reaction of lactide was initiated by BHPG to obtain the branched polylactide. The obtained polymers were characterized by GPC. Finally, the mechanism of reaction, which was being mediated with amino derivative, was clarified.
