Exploration and practice of co-management between nature reserve and community in Ningxia Habahu National Nature Reserve

Abstract

Abstract: Co-management between nature reserve and community is a kind of management model to combine local resident living development with protection of biodiversity. It is fit for opening resources management under pressing, promotes the residents’ undertaking responsibility and supervising management works of the reserve, and can obtain significant effect in the development of community economy. This paper analyzed the background and measures of co-management between nature reserve and community of Ningxia Habahu National Nature Reserve, discussed the problems in of the co-management, put forward suggestions for the co-management with aims to break through limit factors of co-management and serve the sustainable development of nature reserve and community.
