Abstract: Selecting the stem segment with buds as explants, the tissue culture technologies of Ficus religiosa were studied in the experiment. The results show that the optimum doused time was 8 to 10 min in 0.1% HgCl2, MS+NAA 0.1 mg/L+6-BA 1.0 mg/L was the best medium for inducing axillary buds, the proliferation coefficient was 4.5 on the medium of MS+NAA 0.3 mg/L+6-BA 1.0~2.0 mg/L, the suitable medium for rooting was 1/2 MS+NAA 0.5 mg/L, and the rate of rooting was 92.5%. The higher survival rate could be obtained, with the roots of contaminative plantlets being immersed in sterilized pharmaceutics before transplantation.
