Abstract: Curriculum serves as the information carrier for teaching activities, and textbook construction is an important aspect of curriculum reform. Protein and Enzyme Engineering, a course that closely connects theory and practice, holds a central position in the curriculum of agricultural and forestry universities. Integrating ideological and political elements into Enzyme Engineering textbooks and exploring them deeply within the realm of professional knowledge is of great significance in cultivating new agricultural talents. This article delves into the integration of ideological and political elements into professional textbooks in agricultural and forestry universities. It specifically focuses on the guiding role of the ideological and political textbook Enzyme Engineering in teaching activities, the exploration of ideological and political elements within professional knowledge, and the construction and utilization of ideological and political textbooks for “enzyme engineering” courses.
