Abstract: Polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons(PAHs)are a kind of toxic, carcinogenic, hard-to-degrade persistent organic pollutants, 90% of PAHs in the environment are finally enriched in the soil, and soil PAHs pollution is particularly prominent. Therefore, the realization of rapid and on-site detection of PAHs in soil is practically significant for soil pollution investigation, environmental management, production and life. Compared with traditional detection methods, fluorescence spectrometry has many advantages such as good selectivity, high sensitivity and low detection limit, and has been widely used for the detection of PAHs in soil. The article reviewd the application and research progress of conventional fluorescence spectroscopy, three- dimensional fluorescence spectroscopy, two-dimensional fluorescence correlation spectroscopy and laser-induced fluorescence spectroscopy for the direct detection of PAHs in soil in recent years. The application of fluorescence spectroscopy is discussed in the extraction of PAHs characteristic information, quantitative analysis, the influence of soil physical and chemical properties on PAHs fluorescence intensity and correction, etc. and the prospect were discussed to provide reference for further realization of fluorescence spectroscopy technique for direct deaction of PAHs in soil.
