On the parameters influencing different pedagogies applied in college English teaching practice

Abstract: College English teaching is a foreign language teaching (EFL), and some factors should be taken into account in pedagogic design, such as teaching and learning objectives of the course, the proper language input and intake, and the construct of classroom language environment in the process of teaching practice, which are associated with educational and linguistic theories. The change in ways of course learning evaluation, teachers’ emotion, students’ language anxiety and the countermeasures can also affect the use of teaching modes and methods. The paper, from two facets of teaching and learning, explored the parameters in different teaching methods applied in college English teaching.
