Abstract: Phosphorus, an important element in algal cells, plays a vital role in the growth of algal, and is also an important limiting factor of cyanobacteria bloom. Effects of Simulated phosphorus supplement after deficiency on the growth and chlorophyll fluorescence parameters under laboratory conditions were carried out in this study. The results showed that, the cell density of M. aeruginosa in the treatment group was 0.58×107 cell/mL lower than that of control group significantly(P<0.05)after phosphorus deficiency 7 days. The Fv/Fm in the treatment group was also significantly lower than that of control group. After phosphorus supplement, M. aeruginosa grew fast, and the cell densities of both control and treatment groups were basically same by the end of the cultur, but the Fv/Fm, ΦPSⅡ and ETRmax of M. aeruginosa in the treatment group were significantly higher than that of the control group. The results of this study can be used as a reference for the prevention and control of M. aeruginosa bloom.
