Abstract: In order to screen suitable color-leaf plants to grow in Tianjin, the 6 kinds of color-leaf plants were regarded as the research objects, including Sophora japonica cv. Golden Stem, Ulmus pumila cv.Jinye and Ailanthus altissima Var. et al. The differences of 6 cultivar's anti-stress physiological indexes were analyzed. The results showed that Ailanthus altissima(0.195%) had the highest soluble sugar, the lowest one was Prunus cerasifera Ehrhar f. (0.11%); the Ulmus pumila cv.Jinye(13.07 mg/g) had the highest soluble protein, and the lowest one was Prunus×cistena N.E.Hansen ex Koehne(7.135 mg/g); the Amygdalus persica f.(51.954 μg/g)had the highest free proline, and the lowest one was Prunus×cistena N.E.Hansen ex Koehne(37.9 μg/g); the Ulmus pumila cv.Jinye(52.38 U/(g·min))had the highest peroxidase activity(POD), and the lowest one was Prunus×cistena N.E.Hansen ex Koehne(15.012 U/(g·min)); the Sophora japonica cv. Golden Stem(0.499 U/g)had the highest superoxide dismutase, the lowest one was Prunus cerasifera Ehrhar f.(0.341 U/g); the Prunus×cistena N.E.Hansen ex Koehne(0.027 μmol/g)had the highest malondialdehyde, the lowest one was Ulmus pumila cv.Jinye(0.003 μmol/g). According to comprehensive analysis of the index membership function, the adaptability of 6 kinds of color-leaf plants could be divided into four categories. One of the best categories included Ulmus pumila cv. Jinye and Sophora japonica cv. Golden Stem; the second category were Amygdalus persica f. and Ailanthus altissima Var; the third category was Prunus cerasifera Ehrhar f.; the last category was Prunus×cistena N.E.Hansen ex Koehne.
