Abstract: Nationwide reading is a systematic project for all citizens. However, there are still some problems in practice, including underdeveloped reading habits, disruption by digital trends, skewed reader structure and limited engagement in nationwide reading activities. By innovating activity modes, building brands, fostering reading habits, strengthening digital reading, meeting the needs of readers, making much of promotion, engaging diverse social forces, we can promote the participation of left-behind rural residents in nationwide reading activities, thereby contributing to the rural cultural revitalization.
