Abstract: The development of modern agriculture and the construction of new countryside require a large number of high-quality agricultural reserve force, and this new historical opportunity has brought unprecedented opportunities for the development of agricultural colleges and universities in China. However, agricultural general higher education is facing a lot of difficulties, including the low proportion of agriculture-related professional students in agricultural university, and the leaving of more than half of agriculture-related professional graduates. Therefore, the agricultural colleges and universities must follow the pace of the times, adjust their specialties and courses, the content of courses, the mode of running schools, practice and training, and the construction and training of teachers, so as to meet the needs of the contemporary society.
