Abstract: The oxygen consumption rates(OCR)and suffocation points(SP)were investigated for three-months mullet at 18, 21, 24, 27 and 30 ℃ by closed means of sealed-still water. The results showed that the OCR of mullet was extremely significant in different groups(P<0.01).The suitable temperature for the growth of the fish is 24-27 ℃. The OCR of mullet increased with the rising of temperature, The relationship of them could be described as y=0.012x- 0.087(n=10,P<0.01,R2=0.7603).The lethal dissolved oxygen content of mullet showed no significant difference among groups(P>0.05).
