Research on teaching problems and countermeasures of the implementation of public elective courses in Agricultural Universities based on the OBE concept——Taking Tianjin Agricultural University as an example

Abstract: This research focuses on the problems existing in the public elective courses of Agricultural Universities under the OBE concept and proposes corresponding countermeasures. Currently, in the implementation of the OBE concept in public elective courses, there are problems such as vague setting of course objectives, disconnection between course content and outcomes, insufficient high-quality course resources, lack of flexibility in teaching methods, imperfect assessment and evaluation systems, and lack of scientific guidance for students in course selection. The countermeasures include clarifying the goals oriented by students' ability outcomes, optimizing and matching the course content with the goals, enriching course resources, innovating diversified teaching methods, establishing a multiple assessment and evaluation system, and improving the system of academic tutors guiding students in course selection to improve the quality of public elective courses and cultivate students into people with a sense of social responsibility, sound personalities, and the ability to serve society.
