Abstract: In order to understand the effects of different saline land on colored-leaf plants, the plant height, crown width, basal diameter, breast diameter were measured and the correlations between each index and comprehensive analysis results were analyzed with eight kinds of colored-leaf plants. The changes of salt-tolerant growth index in three types of soil in Tianjin were studied. The results showed that on the non-saline soil only the breast diameter of the plant was significantly correlated with the comprehensive evaluation result, and the correlation coefficient was 0.921; on the mild saline-alkali soil plant height, crown width and base diameter were significantly correlated with the comprehensive result, and the correlation coefficients were 0.923, 0.956, 0.927 and on the moderate saline-alkali soil all indexes were significantly correlated with comprehensive result, and the coefficients were 0.923, 0.956, 0.927, 0.918. The selection of indicators for salt-tolerant evaluation was also discussed.
