Abstract: The importance of tourism Poetry Appreciation curriculum and the present situation and problems on teaching are discussed in this paper. A new poetry teaching model is put forward under the perspective of the development of culture. Three aspects are included such as teaching content reorganization, class mode innovation and evaluation system perfecting. Firstly, the poetry organization with perspective of tourism culture is preliminarily tried. Secondly, ecological class mode is established to give priority to develop students' cultural quality. Personal development is encouraged in this kind of class. The last but not the least, a persistent evaluation system should be established to encourage students to pay attention to the whole process of learning.
