Abstract: Antibacterial peptides exist widely in the organisms, which have some characteristics, such as stable physical and chemical properties, broad spectrum bactericidal activity and synthesis of the peptides in organisms can be increased by physical, chemical and biological factors. Because the bacteria are of little resistance to antibacterial peptides, antibacterial peptides show a good application prospect and have become a research focus in immunology and molecular biology. In this paper, induction methods of antibacterial peptides and the studies on aquatic animals are summarized, and the application prospect and the problems are also introduced.
