Abstract: The environmental problems caused by the extensive use of antibiotics are becoming increasingly serious, and it is urgent to establish effective methods for antibiotics analysis. However, due to the complex compositions of environmental samples and trace levels of antibiotics, the samples usually need to go through the complex extraction, purification, concentration and other pretreatment processes before analysis. The principles, applications, advantages and disadvantages of various pretreatment and detection methods of antibiotics in environmental samples are systematically elaborated and future prospects are proposed as well.
