Abstract: Twelve hybrids were analyzed for maize yield, biomass, Zn accumulation, Zn use efficiency and Zn responsiveness at two kinds of Zn application levels. The results show that maize yield, biomass and Zn accumulation had significant differences among different maize hybrids, the interaction of hybrids and Zn treatment. Tianta No.1, Tianta No.2, Tianta No.5, Tianta No.8, Tianta No.9, Tianta No.212 and Tianjin sweet No.1 showed positive values for Zn responsiveness, and the others showed negative values. Zn accumulation of Tianjin sweet No.1, Tianta No.8, Tianta No.7 and Tianta No.212 at lower Zn levels were lower than that of the higher Zn levels, and Zn accumulation of other hybrids at lower Zn levels were higher than that of the higher Zn levels. Yield of Tianta No.8, Tianta No.5, Tianta No.2, Tianta No.1 and Tianjin sweet No.1 at lower Zn levels were lower than that of the higher Zn levels, and yield of other hybrids at lower Zn levels were higher than that of the higher Zn levels. Zn use efficiency of Tianta No.2 and Tianta No.7 was double low efficiency. Tianta No.5, Tianta No.8, Tianta No.212 and Tianta purple waxy maize belonged to the kind of double high efficiency. Tianta waxy No.1 belonged to the kind of lower Zn and high efficiency.
