Exploration of ideological and political elements into the course system of Silviculture

Abstract: Silviculture is the core course of forestry major, which plays a key role in the ideological and political reform of the course. Through combing the content of Silviculture, this paper summarized 20 points of ideological and political elements, covering six aspects such as ideal and belief education, red gene inheritance, Chinese traditional excellent culture, dedication and professional ethics, innovative and rigorous scientific spirit, and feelings for big country’s agriculture, rural areas and farmers. Taking students as the center, the course constructed an online and offline teaching system. The teaching results of ideological and political course were applied in the process of practice, so as to achieve the unity of knowledge and practice. The reform effects was evaluated from both aspects of knowledge and values formation, which effectively increased the students' interest in learning and career selection tendency of forestry major, improved the students' ideological and political quality and professional quality. It explores a mature ideological and political teaching path of professional courses.
