Abstract: In order to investigate the contamination status of Toxoplasma gondii in soil samples of parks in urban areas of Tianjin city, high copy DNA fragment B1 gene of Toxoplasma gondii was selected to be the diagnostic gene, and soil samples from thirty five parks and five universities were studied as research objects. Genomic DNA was extracted from the soil samples, and the contamination status of Toxoplasma gondii oocyst in soil samples from spring-summer months and autumn-winter months were detected by PCR method. The results showed that the positive rate of soil samples from spring-summer months was 11.11% (10/90), while the positive rate of soil samples from autumn-winter months was 2.22%(2/90). The contamination of Toxoplasma gondii was seasonal, and there is a downward trend from spring-summer months to autumn-winter months.
