反语认知操作模式管窥

摘要: 反语作为一种委婉表达负面情绪的修辞手段,具有与字面语句不同的独特认知机制。语言学界对反语认知主要存在5种认知理论或模型:语用观理论、附和理论、假装理论、影射假装理论和附和-对比认知操作模型。每一种理论或模型都具有其独特的解释力,但也存在一定的局限性。需要结合个体差异因素,如移情能力和工作记忆容量来具体探究反语的加工过程和认知机制。

Abstract: Irony as a figurative language is usually adopted to express negative attitudes in a polite and indirect way, and therefore its cognitive mechanism is quite different from that of literal utterance. There are mainly five theories or models concerning the cognitive processing of irony, namely Standard Pragmatic View, Echoic Mention Theory, Pretense Theory, Allusion Pretense Theory and Echoing-contrasting Cognitive Operation Model. Each has its own advantages and limitations. The researchers believe that it is of high necessity to test the cognitive processing of irony with experimental methods taking individual differences such as empathy ability and working memory capacity into consideration.
