Abstract: The training of graduate students’ practical ability has provided many contributions for graduate students in agricultural colleges to step into society, integrate into the society and serve the society. With the cultivation of veterinary medicine graduate students’ practice ability as an example, a new opportunity, new pattern and new methods for veterinary medicine graduate students’ practice ability training was studied by the introduction of new concepts, combined with background of metropolitan agriculture, teacher team construction and industry-university-research perspectives. It provides new ideas and direction for the cultivation of graduate students’ practical ability in the agricultural colleges and universities.
