Construction of a diagnostic system for core competencies and targeted cultivation in vocational education

Abstract: Vocational education is of great significance for the national modernization process. With the industrial development and the requirement for high-quality vocational talents, the cultivation of its core competencies becomes increasingly crucial. This article expounds on the construction of a diagnostic system for core competencies in vocational education. This system assesses students’ qualities through various methods and formulates targeted cultivation plans based on the assessment results. Through the government's implementation of measures such as streamlining administration and delegating power, combining decentralization with management, and optimizing services in vocational education, taking the demands of enterprises and industries as the orientation, giving play to the supervision and urging role of vocational education institutions as the main cultivation body, and with the assistance of training and evaluation organizations, the four parties work together to promote the implementation. Through the closed-loop process, it ensures that the core competencies of graduates meet the standards, thus serving the national modernization construction.
