Abstract: It is put forward that college students and those who need foreign language certificate in career should take the national rank foreign language test rather than separated test by fields, and the historical CET and TEM tests in China should be cancelled. Furthermore, the test scope should cover overall abilities and language communicative competences and the language assessment should be made socialized, unified, internationalized and humanized.
