Effects of Different Light Intensity on Indoor Hydroponic Leafy Vegetable Growth

Abstract: With the light intensity for two indoor environment which are 6% and 23% of outdoor, the differences of the survival rate, fresh weight, stem height and root length in the seven kinds of leafy vegetables were studied, and the suitable indoor environment for planting vegetables was dicussed. The results show that there were significant differences in the survival rate, fresh weight, stem height and root length between the two indoor environment, and the suitable indoor light intensity for planting vegetables should reach 23% of the outdoor.
