Abstract: In this paper, it is analyzed the development status, characteristics and target demand of the Internet of Things Engineering specialty. Also, it is discussed the target positioning and characteristics of the Internet of Things Engineering specialty in agricultural and forestry universities based on the demand for dislocation development of universities by the society, the trend of mass education and the advantage of agricultural and forestry universities, and then the basic thoughts and measures of specialty construction are proposed.
