Abstract: After years of large-scale breeding trial on Chouioia cunea in Jinan Military Region of the Yellow River Delta production base, the standards for breeding place selection, planning and design, and customized breeding shelves and boxes, together with key technical points for larva culturing, placing, implantation, sealing, picking, counting, and packaging have been summarized. In order to combine the large-scale indoor breeding with the release in forest, and to improve the biocontrol efficiency, Chouioia cunea in forest impaired by Hlyphantria cunea was released, and the releasing experiments with different density, frequency, and years were conducted. The results show that the good and economical releasing effects can be reached at 9-10 AM during sunny days with the first and second generation of fall webworm from the fifth mature instar larvae period to early pupation period for 4 times a year based on a releasing density of 225 well-paratisized Chouioia cunea per hm2 every time.
