Abstract: The skeletal system components of Ictalurus punctatus were studied by means of boiling and the skeletal morphology was observed. By analyzing and dealing with the photoes of the integrated skeletal system and single skeletal system, it is summarized some corresponding skeletal characters. The results show that the skeletal system of Ictalurus punctatus was composed of 269 bones, including 40 bones in the district of neurocranium, 79 bones in the district of pharyngeal cranium, 52 bones in appendicular skeleton and 98 bones in the trunk, respectively. And there are hard spines.
