Abstract: Three new Schiff bases derived from L1 (where L1=1-phenyl-3-methyl-4-acetyl- 5-pyrazolone, 1-phenyl-3-methyl-4-formyl-5-Cl-pyrazole and benzoylacetone) and 4- Amino antipyrine have been prepared and characterized by elemental analysis, spectroscopic data (IR and UV) and HNMR. The antibacterial activity tests of the compounds at different concentrations against Bacillus coli and Bacillus subtilis were performed by using disc diffusion method. The results indicate that almost all compounds have the activity of inhibiting the growth of the two bacteria.
