Abstract: Tianjin has established a comprehensive pet industry chain ecosystem and a differentiated urban-rural spatial layout, laying a solid foundation for promoting urban-rural integration. However, challenges remain, including fragmented urban-rural coordination within the industrial chain, insufficient spatial synergy, weak internal industry momentum, inadequate regulatory frameworks, and restricted factor mobility—all of which limit the pet industry’s potential to drive urban-rural integration. To advance the high-quality development of Tianjin’s pet industry and provide a practical model for urban-rural integration, measures should be taken by enhancing urban-rural collaboration across the industrial chain, optimizing regional spatial planning, strengthening the industry’s core competitiveness, and improving regulatory and resource support mechanisms.
