The choice of an approach to foster students’practical and innovative ability in local applied universities

Abstract: The orientation of local applied universities is to train applied talents, and the improvement of practical and innovative ability is the key to the quality of personnel training, and also the focus of reform. This paper introduces a series of reform measures of Anhui Science and Technology university from six aspects: building practice teaching system, strengthening practice platform construction, strengthening practice teaching management, perfecting practice education mechanism, deepening innovation and entrepreneurship education reform, strengthening “dual-ability” and “double-creation” teaching staff construction, implementing “3Q” plan, and improving students’ practice and innovation ability in the whole process, in order to find a way to cultivate students’ practical and innovative ability.
