Abstract: Xi jin-ping’s thought on patriotism in the new era is rich in content and rigorous in logic. From the perspective of realistic situation, it is of unique significance and value to promote patriotism in the era of globalization. From the perspective of national history, Xi jin-ping’s patriotism in the new era takes realizing the Chinese dream of the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation as its distinct theme. From the perspective of ideals and beliefs, we should stick to the unity of patriotism and love for the party and socialism. From the perspective of civilization orientation, we should focus on the nation and the world, and highlight the international vision and human responsibility of Xi jin-ping’s patriotism in the new era. From the perspective of method and path, we should take patriotism education as the eternal theme and stick to the unity of knowing history, knowing the country and serving the country with patriotism.
